Soul Initiation Arc

A six-month rite of passage

A structured path for re-orienting your life around the source of your deepest calling. Twelve live gatherings, twelve one-on-one mentoring sessions, and the SoulQuest ceremony.

What Is Your Restlessness About?

Sometimes a moment arrives when something begins to shift. You feel it before you can name it – a quiet restlessness, an undercurrent of unease – a sense that the life you’ve built no longer contains the whole of who you are.

You search for direction. You read books, take courses, seek teachers, explore new paths of personal growth or spiritual development. Sometimes there is insight, even temporary clarity. But the restlessness returns – because the issue is rarely a lack of direction.

It's a case of mistaken identity.

The Missing Initiation

Cultures across time recognized these moments of profound life transition and marked them with rites of passage — initiations.

Initiation is not self-improvement or self-development. It is the purposeful shift in how we understand who we are, and what part we are here to play in relationship to the world.

Structures that support this kind of deep life revision are largely absent today. As a result, many people circle the same questions for years, sensing that something important is trying to change but unsure how to move through the transition.

Initiation marks a threshold crossing – from one way of being into another.
Without initiation, the transition into deeper purpose remains elusive.

The Soul Initiation Arc

The Soul Initiation Arc is a six-month rite of passage designed to hold that threshold. Transformation isn’t forced here. The structure simply creates the conditions for deep change to unfold — slowly enough that you remain intact.

APR – MAY

PHASE 1 – SEPARATION

You’ve been living inside a story you didn’t entirely write. You’re here because something in you is ready to set it aside.

You set a boundary around the time, space, and energy needed to listen to your Soul. You establish a daily rhythm and ritual that’s right for you.

You begin to inventory the purposes you inherited from family, culture, and circumstance. They are clues to your Soul’s true intent.

You begin to hear yourself again.

JUN – SEP

PHASE 2 – DESCENT

Through imaginal inquiry and embodied practice, you begin to deepen beneath words and recognize the unique way your Soul speaks to you. A living conversation begins — one that you and your Soul develop together.

Understanding deepens. Trust grows. The bond strengthens with intention, attention, and time.

A channel of communication opens.

SEP – OCT

PHASE 3 – THRESHOLD

You have been listening for months. Becoming fluent in the ways Soul speaks to you. You know where your most pressing questions live.

‍Now you bring them to the fire.

‍‍The SoulQuest is one full day alone in nature. Holding a single question you are aching to know the answer to. No distractions. No escapes. Just you, the question, and whatever arises in the meeting between them. This is the ceremony at the center of the crossing.

You seal your commitment.

OCT

PHASE 4 – RETURN

You bring what you received back into ordinary life. You translate it. You write a purpose statement — a personal myth — a way of understanding the story that has been unfolding in you all along.

Nothing about your outer life has changed — yet. But more of you is here than was here before.

Remembered. Reclaimed. Reoriented around a center that holds.

Welcome home.

Who This Is For

The founding cohort will include 6–12 participants, allowing for a level of depth, attention, and relational presence that would not be possible in a larger group.

This initiation may be a good fit you if:

You're a sincere seeker.

You've done inner work before – this is not the first time. You sense that the lack of direction you feel will take more than courses, workshops and retreats.

You're longing deeply for more purpose and belonging.

You've made a competent, successful enough life so far. But you sense that the identity you constructed doesn't quite fit all of you. You know you're meant for more than what you've already done. There's something more that wants to be expressed in the world.

You are facing life path questions.

You sense that what you're feeling is a life stage transition beginning – that maybe your whole life wants to change – and you don't want to postpone the process of figuring out how.

You want to hear what your Soul is telling you.

You know you have a Soul, but you can't describe it well. You've never really taken the time out to actually listen to it. You're ready to learn the ways it speaks to you, so you can be true to it – and trust it.

Guides

Each guide in this program has walked through their own soul-level transition. They are trained as Purpose Guides to support others moving through similar terrain.

Their role is not to provide answers, but to help you stay in relationship with the questions that matter.

David Miranda

Lead Purpose Guide

David leads the Soul Initiation Program – and mentors participants throughout the six-month arc.

He knows what it is to reach the edge of everything you’ve built and sense that it no longer quite holds — to feel something larger asking to move through you before you have language for it. To find yourself mid-crossing without a map.

He found his way through – not by having the right answers – but by learning to ask better questions, and by developing a relationship with his own Soul that could hold him when nothing else could.

What he brings into the room is a steady quality of presence that comes from doing this work at depth and continuing to do it.

Faith Formosa Chiang

Founder, Soul School & Purpose Guide

Faith founded Soul School to create the kind of container she once needed herself.

Her work focuses on helping people develop a living relationship with Soul and the discernment required to follow it. The Soul Initiation Program grew out of her own experience navigating a deep life transition — before she had language for what was happening and before there was a structure that could hold it.

She brings to this work training in developmental coaching, somatic practice, and group facilitation, along with more than twenty years of experience leading teams and organizations through complex transitions. That experience shaped a core principle of Soul School: that deep transformation requires both rigor and care.

After Six Months

When initiation works, the change is not always dramatic from the outside. Your life may look much the same. But something subtle has shifted at the root of who you are, and the change tends to endure. Life begins to gather itself around a different center — what we might call the Soul.

Over time, a shared language develops between you. The line of communication is available in ordinary moments as well as during the larger crossroads of a life. The direction your life is asking for becomes easier to sense. What you want clarifies, and with it a steadier capacity to decide. Choices no longer feel quite so tentative; the ones you make tend to hold.

Gradually, your gifts begin to reveal themselves, along with the places where they are already being received. The story of your life becomes more legible to you — more coherent, and perhaps more meaningful than you had imagined.

Something in you has remembered its deeper center. Your life begins to root around it.

You have crossed the threshold.
